Windows, Mac and Linux all have their own unique strengths, but picking the benefits of one over another can be tough. CrossOver 15 lets you run Windows programs seamlessly on Mac and Linux giving you the best of two operating systems on one platform. For a limited time, you can get CrossOver 15 for Mac or Linux on sale for only $19.99.

While it’s most often used on Linux, Wine can run Windows software directly on a Mac, too–without requiring a Windows license or needing Windows running in the background. This isn’t necessarily the best option if you want to run Windows software on a Mac. Wine isn’t perfect, and not every application will run ideally. It is a paid application to run Windows applications on your Mac. You may have to spend between 15.95 to 499.95 American dollars (depends on the plan you choose) to use this Mac desktop application. CrossOver Mac also has a free trial in case you want to give it a try. The downside here is that you can’t run macOS applications and Windows applications side-by-side at the same time. If you just want to run a Windows desktop application alongside your Mac applications, a virtual machine will probably be ideal. On the other hand, if you want to play the latest Windows games on your Mac, Boot Camp will be ideal.
